Welcome to Rockprints.co.uk FAQ
FAQ:
• Buying Prints
• Commissioning photography
• Copyright issues
• Miscellaneous
Q: I want to buy your photos!
A: Great! That's exactly what we want you to do too! In fact, that is why we made this web-site!
Q: How do I go about ordering photos from you?
A: Go to the photos, find a picture you like, and click the little link underneath that says "Buy this print". Then, you can select what size you want, and you can add it to your basket.
Repeat that process for each photo you want.
When you have decided you have chosen enough prints, click the "view your basket" button that is under every photo. You will be shown a summary of the photos that you have chosen, the final price, and you can put your details in, so we can send you your prints as soon as possible!
Q: Is it safe to order prints off the internet via rockprints.co.uk?
A: Of course! The company we use to process our orders is a highly reputable company - they handle your money, they sort out the prints, and they ship the items to you. If anything should happen to your prints in the mail, they also take care of everything.
Q: How can I pay?
A: Payment can be done by Solo, Switch, Visa, Mastercard and American Express cards. If you don't have any of those cards, but can pay via PayPal, get in touch with us, and we will sort something out for you. Unfortunately, because the way our system works, we have to add 10% on top of your order if you wish to pay by PayPal, so perhaps it would be better if you could ask a friend or family member if they can place the order for you, using their card.

Q: Do you ship to...
A: Probably! We offer worldwide shipping at very competitive prices:
| UK 1st class mail |
- |
£1 |
.50 |
| Rest of Europe |
- |
£1 |
.99 |
| Rest of world |
- |
£3 |
.80 |
We also offer world-wide courier deliveries with next-day-delivery options.
Q: What is the quality of the prints like?
A: Our photographic prints are printed using Fuji Frontier machines on super-high grade paper. This means that our prints are lush as anything, and safe to hang on the walls - they won't fade for many years!
Q: Do you have a price list available?
A: Not as such - but if you go to the galleries and add an image to your basket, you can see all the prices listed there!
Q: Do you do any promotions?
A: Not really, but it may be worth checking out our eBay listings, as prints sometimes sell for half price there.
Q: I am the picture-editor for X, and I would like to use your photos. Is that possible?
A: Sure. Contact us, and we'll figure something out. We charge regular freelance fees for commissions and archive photos - if you are on a tight budget, ask anyway, we may say yes.
Q: I am the manager of band X, and I would like you to photograph one of our concerts. Is that possible?
A: Probably! Our main photographer - Haje Jan Kamps - is based in Liverpool in the North-West of England, so if your tour takes you to Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham or any of the surrounding cities, we can probably make it to your concert to take photos. If you don't come near, we can probably still do the photos, but you'll owe us a planefare and some grub on top of our normal fees! Get in touch!
Q: I run a fansite for band X, and would like to use one of your photos on our website...
A: Normally, we don't allow this for a number of reasons, but you are, of course, more than welcome to link to our relevant galleries from your site. If you are wondering if what you are planning to do is in breach of copyright, get in touch with us before you do it.
Q: I think I am going to steal one of your images to use on my website without asking first.
A: We wouldn't recommend it. We have a large fanbase for our photos, and there is a very good chance that someone will stumble across the photo on your website, recognise it as one of ours, and contact us. When they do, shit will hit the ventilation system.
We aren't being bastards about this, but we are not going to get rich of Rockprints.co.uk - we, too, are struggling to keep the bill-collectors at bay, and to buy pot noodle to stuff our faces with. If we discover you have stolen from us, we have no sympathy: We will grab your by your big toe, and we will drag you to court. Sorry, but that is the way it goes.
Q: Who runs / owns / designs this website?
A: This website is run by Haje Jan Kamps, who also runs Photocritic Ltd. Haje is a photographer does all sorts of other stuff as well. Such as design websites, write silly FAQ questions, and refer to himself in the third person singular. Such as this. If you think that's just silly, then you are probably right.
Q: That is a rather fetching design, I must say. Who made it?
A: The logo was made by a good friend of mine called Martin Jacobsen. He is a freelance designer, and he's a pretty damn groovy man indeed. Pay him lots of money and he will make you cool, too. It's true. Visit his website, too.
The rest of the site is designed by Haje, our chief 'tog. Because he wanted to.
Q: Can I be a photographer for Rockprints.co.uk?
A: If you are good, contact us with samples of your work, and we will see.
